Text Formats and Editors

Open Text Formats and Editors page

The Text Formats and Editors configuration page allows administrators to manage and customize text formats and associated editors used on the Drupal site. Allows you to define how input fields are displayed — plain, WYSIWYG with basic HTML or full HTML, etc.

Key settings include:

  • Available Formats: Define various text formats (e.g., Full HTML, Basic HTML, Plain Text) and configure their settings.
  • Editor Configuration: Assign WYSIWYG editors (like CKEditor) to specific text formats, providing a user-friendly interface for content creation.
  • Filter Settings: Manage filters applied to each text format, such as HTML filtering, URL linking, and more.
  • Roles and Permissions: Control which user roles have access to each text format, ensuring appropriate content creation capabilities.

Configuring text formats and editors enhances content creation flexibility and security by allowing precise control over how content is processed and displayed on the site.
